A large crowd packed Clones Courthouse on Saturday Night for the opening movie of this seasons Film Club screening, Pablo Amodovars “Broken Embraces” starring
Penelope Cruz.
The courthouse proved to be a lovely venue for the event and contributed immensely to the sociable community atmosphere. Following the screening the audience repaired to the Lennard Arms hotel, to enjoy wine, nibbles and a chat.
Cathy Sheerin, on behalf of Clones Film Festival acknowledged the support of the Arts Council, Monaghan County council and the Court Service, and Harry Cleary who provided the posters for the Film Club. Noting the large attendance, she thanked the people of clones and the environs who supported and attended the screening, and ensured the success of these events.
