Launch of Clones Film Festival and 10th Birthday Party Celebrations announced

Come to Clones for the 10th Clones Film Festival, 26 - 30 October. As part of our 10th birthday celebrations we'll be pushing the boat out with an action-packed programme featuring new Irish & international cinema releases, interviews, documentaries, kid's films and nightly festival club with live music.  Once again, the festival will take place in a specially constructed cinema in the Lennard Arms Hotel as well as Clones Courthouse and in the Cinemobile on the Diamond.

Each year we endeavour to get young and old involved in the festival. This year the CFF committee have run a competition with local primary schools to design a badge for Clones Film Festival to celebrate its 10th year. The winner has now been chosen and all of the entries will be displayed at a special exhibition to celebrate CFF in Clones Library from Monday 17 October to Friday 4 November. Not only will the winning entry be made into a badge to be widely circulated but the winner will also receive prizes of Film Festival tickets, books and other goodies.
Clones Film Festival will officially launch its 10th birthday celebrations and exhibition which includes CFF memorabilia and artwork on Thursday the 20 October at 7.30 pm in Clones Library and everyone is welcome to come along. Our badge competition winner will be announced on the night. This will be an enjoyable evening of refreshments, including a 10th birthday cake. Following short speeches by the Film Festival Committee which will undoubtedly uncover details of the CFF programme for this year, there will be a screening of previous short film winners, and an opportunity to browse memorabilia, artwork and photographs of the last 10 years of 'Ireland's Biggest Little Film Festival'.
